Colin Gardner and Graeme Watts have been recognised for their 30 Years of service through Rotary.
 
30 Years’ ago two members were inducted on 12th December 1989 by President Terry Palmer
 
  • Graeme Watts: Introduced by Alan Ferguson. Bulletin Editor or Deputy 3 times and Community Services Director also 3 times.Responsible for our involvement in RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment) for the 4 years and RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) over many years. Between 1989-1993 Graeme sold coffee and tea plus soft drinks at the Drouin Railway Station where he was Stationmaster and the surplus in monies were donated that to the Rotary Club of Drouin. Graeme assisted the setting up of the Probus Club of Drouin, arranged for the installation of President David Johns, Secretary Kath Marshall and Treasurer Les Bowles. PHF recognition was presented by President Leigh Bates in July 2011. He is now seen as collector and counter of monies at events like SwapMeet when he is not off having a bypass operation.
  • Colin Gardner: Introduced by Don Blackley. Has held Director roles in such as Vocational Service; Foundation; Membership x4; and, PR. During a long period of his Rotary membership he was also Chairman of 2 National Dairy Industry organisations. Val & Colin were a host family for both International and New Zealand youth exchangees. Worked on building projects, on the gates at events such as Farm World and Swap Meet and, hosted BBQs at his home. PHF recognition given by President Paul Davine in June 2013 at the start of Colin’s year as President 12/13. “Val has been an enthusiastic supporter of my endeavours to make a contribution throughout and we have both derived great enjoyment from being part of this terrific Club”.
