President Sharryn welcomed all Rotarians to the meeting. She noted with thanks that Rotarians had commenced using the new procedures for apologies and guest bookings (see last page of this Bulletin for details) and thanked Rotarian Peter Williams and his staff for their many years of support in this matter. The President also acknowledged the wonderful contribution that Rotarians, families and friends had made to Farm World.
Secretary Graeme reminded members that the meeting on April 18th. for the Paralympian guest, Jayden Warn, was a Partner’s Night and guests needed to be booked in through him. Members were also made aware that the District Assembly will be held on May 21st. at Churchill and on May 28th, at Frankston. Those interested should contact him. RC Yarram’s Tara Arts Show is to be held over Easter and Warragul Club’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Night is to be held on May 6th. in the Exhibition Hall, bring a plate.
Secretary Graeme also had a report from Rotarian Jeff Copping, who was an apology for the meeting. Jeff thanked everyone for their support and diligence at Farm World. Drouin Club were able to fill 92% of their tasks from the Club itself, which of course maximises returns to Drouin Club.
President Sharryn, on behalf of Rotarian Anita, reported that the Club had two prospective MUNA participants although the number of participants among other District Clubs and Schools were low.
Rotarian Bill reported that all was on track for The Swap Meet and a roster was distributed and emailed. Bookings for the pavilion were extremely good. He congratulated and thanked Rotarian Tim on his advertising of the event.
Rotarian John reminded members that the Market is on Easter Saturday April 15th. and workers on all tasks were still needed, it has been a busy time but the Market is one of our staple earners so please contact John or see him at next week’s meeting.
