Our special guest at the meeting to recognize 'International Women's Day' was Yasmin Woods, the Director of Planning & Development with Baw Baw Shire Council.

Yasmin brings to the role more than 25 years of experience in Local Government in statutory and strategic planning, project management, urban design, valuations and property management, coastal and heritage planning and management of a considerable asset conversion program.

Her most recent role was as Executive Manager of Property and Strategy at Mornington Peninsula Shire Council.In addition to her extensive experience, Yasmin holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is currently completing her Master of Business Administration.

Yasmin will lead teams in strategic and statutory planning, building and regulatory services, emergency management, environment, public health, arts, culture and events.

She spoke of her upbringing and the determination of her mother that her children succeed. She spoke of her various career moves and her great belief in ongoing education.
