President Merv with Flavorite Nursery Manager Matt Henshall
President Merv introduced Matt Henshall from Flavorite Tomatoes. Matt informed the Club that the business was originally established by Warren Nicholl and Mark Millis in 1995. At this time all hot houses were made using
plastic. The first glass hot house was built in 2001 and now they have 12 hectares of glass hot houses. Flavorite employ 350 people, have a turnover of $ 80 million and produce 17,000 tons of product. They hydroponically grow tomatoes, egg plant and capsicum. Flavorite supply 89% to supermarkets, 10% is wholesale and 1% is exported.
