Nine members formed the third team to prepare and serve an evening meal to volunteers for BlazeAid, helping in farm recovery after the Bunyip bushfire.
And there will be plenty more such occasions at the Bunyip Hall in the monthly rosters as the task is immense.
Involvement coordinator, Russell Ford, addressed the diners on our ongoing involvement and satisfaction in being able to serve them, the volunteers. He also handed over a cheque for $1,200 which had been funds raised through one of our monthly Drouin Markets. We were told it costs around $3,000 per month for BlazeAid to support this Bunyip project, and our funds were gratefully acknowledged.
Next rostered night on? Wednesday 5th June.
