The fortieth Australia Day Breakfast in Drouin, hosted by the Rotary Club of Drouin on behalf of Baw Baw Shire Council, was an event enjoyed by all who attended the fully-booked occasion, as always catered for by the local CWA and held in the Drouin Anglican Hall -- four 40th anniversaries: Breakfast held; CWA catering, Anglican Hall donating the venue; and, Rotarian Keith Pretty PSM OAM fully involved in preparation and management.
Prior to the address by Caroline Turner, special mention and congratulations were given to our newest OAM recipient, Rotarian Graeme Watts, recognised for his great and ongoing work with and for Vietnam veterans and their families. Also applauded were our local Shire awardees including 'Citizen of the Year' Peter Ware of Drouin and 'Medallion' awardee & Drouin resident - and frequent volunteer at Rotary events - Lion Tim Hurst.
