Out With The Old And In With The New
There was a sense of this at the last regular Rotary Meeting of the current Board and Administration, when it was held at the Hong Kong Inn last Tuesday. All is in preparation for our Changeover Dinner at the Warragul Country Club on Tuesday 27th. of June.
A changeover Board Meeting was held at the last Dinner Meeting. Outgoing Board members are to be congratulated on their efforts over their term on the Board, Bob Vogt, Kevin Roberts and Jo McKechnie. The Stirling work of Graeme Tindle as Secretary and President Sharryn have all been acknowledged and gratitude is expressed.
Also the evening could not pass without a big thank you to the staff of the Hong Kong Inn, not just for the wonderful food they provide but also the efficiency and welcoming manner in which they go about their work along with extraordinary flexibility when last minute changes occur.
Also hanging up their notebooks and collection box are our two Sergeants, Ray and Merv. They provided plenty of mirth and at times embarrassment as they relieved members of spare change
Reports.
President Sharryn welcomed all Rotarians, she expressed a big thank you to all who had provided support and roles during her term as President and made a presentation to the Hong Kong Inn Staff.
Secretary Graeme informed members that Drouin Apex Annual Handover Dinner will be on July 1st. anyone interested should contact him for details.
President Elect David informed members that the first meeting after Changeover on July 4th. will be a Club Assembly. He is encouraging as many as possible to be there, as he is looking for member input into his year as President and to discuss some minor changes that he will propose.
Rotarian Kevin reported that the project to demolish and construct a new fence at Yooralla had been completed and no doubt had saved that organisation something in the vicinity of $2000.
Rotarian John thanked all those who worked on the last market in freezing cold conditions.
